Meet Jack Collins: Driveway AutoSpa
Jack Collins is a high school student and a participant in our 2026 Summer Company cohort. He is the owner of Driveway AutoSpa, offering premium auto detailing in North Bay, right in your driveway. He prides himself on fast, professional interior and exterior detailing with transparent pricing.
Getting started:
Driveway AutoSpa is Jack's first business. He had started detailing casually and part-time just before the program began. A client first told him about the Summer Company program, and he later sat in on an in-class presentation by the program coordinator, which sealed his decision to take part.
What the summer taught him:
Jack made strong gains in organization and time management this summer. He now plans his calendar weeks in advance, a habit he expects to carry forward along with keeping close track of his time and money. He speaks highly of the in-person workshops, particularly the sessions on bookkeeping and taxes.
The accomplishment he is proudest of is his website. Clients regularly comment on how easy it is to book through it, and it has become a real selling point for the business.
Looking ahead:
Jack exceeded his financial goals for the summer. He plans to run the business full-time again next summer and to keep detailing part-time through the winter for clients who have heated garages. He sees entrepreneurship as a genuine possibility for his future, and he values the freedom of running his own business.
His advice for new entrepreneurs:
"Use social media and build a proper website. It makes a real difference when clients go to book with you."
