Jamie-Lynn Sluman is the founder of Aura The Psychotherapy Centre in North Bay. Jamie-Lynn started Aura after 10 years experience in social services. She noticed that accessing the right support when needed was unreasonably difficult to navigate, which has led many people to suffer in silence. Her dream for Aura was to make accessing psychotherapy easy, comfortable, and safe.

She is passionate about normalizing psychotherapy in our society and strives to create a safe space where anyone in Ontario can access a professional, compassionate, empathetic therapist who will work with them to achieve their therapy goals. Jamie-Lynn completed the Starter Company Plus program through The Business Centre in the fall of 2023.

She was successful in creating her business plan and pitching to the grant committee for funding. She has since continued to grow the business, expand her offerings, and grow her team.
